Welcome to Woodland Hill’s Ranch. We are located on the foot hills of the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range on the outskirts of the small city of Salem, about 15 miles south of Provo, Utah. To our west lies Utah Lake bordered by West Mountain. There are many picturesque canyons to enjoy horse back rides in.
Over the last few years, going from 10 to 5 acres, we have down sized our herd of horses. We have, however, been steadily upgrading the quality of Registered Paints and Quarter Horses. As with our dogs, we’ve learned that quality is often better than quantity.
Our goal in our Quarter Horse breeding is to produce colts that can compete in Cutting, Reining, and the Working Cow Horse arenas. One of our mares is a daughter of NCHA World Cutting Horse Champion, "Tamulena" out of NCHA Champ Doc O' Lena, out of NCHA Champ Hall of Fame Champion Doc Bar. On the bottom side, she is a granddaughter of NHCA Hall of Fame Cutting Horse Champion Peppy San. The other 3 mares are out of competing stallions, sons of great NCHA Champions Shining Spark, Peppy Badger Chex, and Peppy Humo.
Our goal our Paint Horses breeding is to produce healthy well built colored colts, especially the much sought after black and white Paints with super pedigrees and calm dispositons. We have a tri-colored mare who is a daughter of 2 time World Champion Impressive Robin Jr. We are standing her son, Super Tanker, a black and white homozygous stallion who is also the grand son of APHA Superior Champion Mr. Tramp. We are proud to our horses and the improvements we have made over the years. Why don’t you come on in and visit for a while!
